Watch: Hwang Jung Eum And BTOB's Yook Sungjae Stir Up Some Fun In First Teaser For "Mystic Pop-Up Bar"
Upcoming JTBC drama “Mystic Pop-Up Bar” (previously known as “Ssang Gap Pocha”) has revealed its first teaser video!
Based on a popular webtoon of the same name, it tells the story of a mysterious pojangmacha (outdoor drinking establishment) run by a prickly woman (played by Hwang Jung Eum) and an innocent part-timer (played by BTOB’s Yook Sungjae) who visit customers in their dreams to help resolve their problems.
The teaser opens up with mysterious music as Yook Sungjae walks down the street. Hwang Jung Eum’s voiceover says, “Look at those red eyes, that yellow face, and those dark circles. Today, I choose you.”
Yook Sungjae enters an orange pojangmacha, and he stares at something like he’s bewitched. The pojangmacha is owned by none other than Hwang Jung Eum, who doesn’t quite belong to either the world of the living or the world of the dead, which allows her to move between dreams. She explains the meaning of Ssang Gap Pocha, the name of her pojangmacha, saying, “It means that both you and I are superiors.”
Chaos ensues as Yook Sungjae starts working for Hwang Jung Eum, but the teaser promises that abundant laughter is on the way. At the end of the clip, Hwang Jung Eum smiles at the camera and holds up glass of soju to ask, “Do you want to drink with me?”
“Ssang Gap Pocha” will air its first episode on May 20 via JTBC.
