Watch: Seo Kang Joon Can’t Stop Proposing To Park Min Young Behind The Scenes Of “I’ll Go To You When The Weather Is Nice”
The newly released video begins with Seo Kang Joon showing off his wood chopping skills while rehearsing a scene with Park Min Young. In the scene, Im Eun Seob (Seo Kang Joon’s character) tries to teach Mok Hae Won (Park Min Young) how to chop wood, but embarrassingly fails at each of his multiple attempts to demonstrate the skill.
However, it turns out that all of Im Eun Seob’s amusing struggles were simply acting on Seo Kang Joon’s part: unlike his character, the actor manages to cleanly slice the wood in half every time during rehearsal. Park Min Young also surprises Seo Kang Joon by successfully chopping the wood on her first try, and the director decides to put her skills to use in the actual drama.
After running through the scene together, the two stars finally begin filming, and Seo Kang Joon plays up the comedy by repeatedly swinging and missing the wood while insisting, “This is what not to do. I did it this way in order to teach you what not to do.” Park Min Young then tries her hand at chopping the wood, but unlike during rehearsal, she unexpectedly struggles with the task and winds up needing multiple takes to finish the scene.
Later, while filming a romantic moment in which Park Min Young rests her head on Seo Kang Joon’s shoulder, Seo Kang Joon goes off script and jokingly asks, “Should we get married?” Both the director and Park Min Young crack up at his unexpected ad lib, and Park Min Young reveals that he’s been proposing throughout the shoot—turning to the director, the actress laughs, “He’s been saying this over and over again ever since we started filming the full shot!”
During the next take, Park Min Young waits for the director to yell “Cut!” before turning to Seo Kang Joon and playfully asking, “So should we get married, then?” Seo Kang Joon jokes back, “Do you want to get married?”
