Mok Hae Won’s mother Shim Myung Joo (Jin Hee Kyung) was sentenced to seven years in prison for killing her husband Mok Joo Hong (Seo Tae Hwa). Ever since then, Shim Myung Joo became colder to Mok Hae Won, and in turn, Mok Hae Won put up a thorny wall around herself because she didn’t want to be hurt by her mother anymore.
