(G)I-DLE, MOMOLAND, Kim Dong Jun, Lee Dong Gun, + More Donate Towards COVID-19 Relief

Stars are continuing to show their support for the ongoing battle against COVID-19.

Earlier this week, it was revealed that (G)I-DLE had donated 30,000 bottles of hand sanitizer to Holt Children’s Services to help children in need.

The girl group commented, “Many people have given us love up until now. Through this opportunity, we were able to share some of the love that we’ve received. We hope everyone will fight through and overcome this difficult time.”

(G)I-DLE and their agency Cube Entertainment previously signed up to become regular donors to NGO GFoundation and have also made donations to child care center Eden Children Ville.

MOMOLAND donated 10,000 cases of masks to NGO Plan Korea. The group remarked, “We decided to donate to NGO Plan Korea to share the pain of the many people suffering from COVID-19. We hope that all of South Korea will become safe from COVID-19.”

Kim Dong Jun will also be donating masks to socially marginalized households in Daegu and Busan. A source from his agency MAJOR9 stated, “Kim Dong Jun, who personally purchased face masks out of his own pocket and distributed them to reporters and fans at places like the airport, recently became a model for face masks. He will be donating the entirety of his advertisement fee as masks to help others.”

Meanwhile, a number of actors who recently starred in ads for Shinhyup Credit Union—including Shin Hyun Joon, Ra Mi Ran, Yoo Sun, Lee Dong Gun, Seol Soo Jin, and Cha In Pyo—donated their appearance fees to the Motion Pictures Association of Korea, asking that the money go towards underprivileged workers in the film industry.
