Producers Of New KBS Variety Show Apologize After Airing Incomplete 1st Episode

The producers of KBS’s new variety show “Battle of the Musicians” (literal title) have released an official statement about the program’s incomplete first broadcast.

On April 25, “Battle of the Musicians”—which stars Kim Yo Han, Lee Sang Min, Kim Sook, Moon Se Yoon, Lee Joo Bin, and more—aired its first episode.

However, the show caught viewers off guard by unexpectedly airing only the first half of the episode. Despite a caption at the end of the first half that read, “We will return shortly with Part 2,” a documentary begin airing instead of the second half of “Battle of the Musicians.”

The following day, the producers of “Battle of the Musicians” released the following statement:

Last night, for our first broadcast of “Battle of the Musicians,” the second half of the episode was originally scheduled to air following the first half. However, because we were unexpectedly unable to finish production on the second half of the episode, we were unable to air it. We apologize to all of the viewers who took an interest in and watched our first episode.

We will do our utmost to ensure that this kind of mistake does not occur again in the future.

We plan to air the content that we were unable to air yesterday next week at 10:55 p.m.

The next broadcast of “Battle of the Musicians” will air on May 22 at 10:55 p.m. KST.
