Oh My Girl's YooA Talks About Overcoming A Slump And Fears About Dancing Through

On April 28, Big Issue magazine released Oh My Girl member YooA’s pictorial and interview, which features the idol talking about getting through a slump.

In the photos, YooA posed in various spring looks. For the accompanying interview, YooA introduced Oh My Girl’s seventh mini album “NONSTOP.”

“It’s a girl-power concept,” she said. “We sing about the emotions and stories that we want to tell about the strength of girls. The beat is stronger than our previous songs, so you’ll be able to feel a lot of energy.”

YooA said that she is overcoming a slump thanks to Mnet’s “Queendom.” She explained, “I’m the group’s main dancer and I felt pressure after a lot of people said I’m good at dancing. I felt burdened over the thought that I needed to always dance well. Dance, which was my favorite thing, then began to feel difficult and scary. So I barely danced for four years outside of my promotions with Oh My Girl.”

She continued, “But I wanted to overcome my slump while appearing on ‘Queendom’ and I’m still working on it. You can say that it’s true ‘girl power.'”

Commenting on her first magazine cover pictorial, YooA added, “I think I’m going to remember it for a long time. It’s a bit embarrassing to say that I’m ‘donating talent,’ but I hope it’ll be of some help.”
