TVXQ’s Changmin is celebrating Children’s Day with a meaningful donation!

On May 4, ChildFund Korea revealed that Changmin had donated 55 million won (approximately $44,900) to mark Children’s Day, which is on May 5. According to the organization, Changmin’s donation will be used to provide emergency funds to cover living expenses for 110 children who are in need due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Changmin shared, “I wanted to celebrate Children’s Day by sharing a gift that could help children who are in need because of the COVID-19 pandemic. I sincerely hope the day that all children can run around freely and play all the want comes soon.”

The head of ChildFund Korea stated, “We wish to sincerely thank Changmin for his continuous donations and for never forgetting about children who are marginalized in society. We will make sure to use his donation to help children whose families are having a hard time covering living expenses in the COVID-19 pandemic.”

Beginning with a donation in 2017 to held low-income children who were affected by the Pohang earthquake, Changmin has been making donations to help children throughout the years. He became a member of ChildFund Korea’s “Green Noble Club” in 2018, which honors donors who have contributed a large sum of 100 million won (approximately $81,600) or more.
