Watch: BTOB’s Yook Sungjae Leaves Video Message For Viewers Of “Mystic Pop-Up Bar” Before Military Enlistment

BTOB’s Yook Sungjae shared a heartfelt message for future viewers and “customers” of “Mystic Pop-Up Bar.”

On May 10, JTBC posted a clip of Yook Sungjae, who enlisted in the military on May 11.

Based on a popular webtoon, “Mystic Pop-Up Bar” tells the story of a mysterious pojangmacha (an outdoor drinking establishment) run by an ill-tempered woman, an innocent part-time employee, and a former afterlife detective.

In the series, Yook Sungjae appears as part-time employee Han Kang Bae, who visits customers in their dreams in order to help them resolve their problems.

To the tune of Shin Seung Hoon’s “I Believe,” Yook Sungjae sits alone at a table to share his thoughts on his workplace and drama. He began, “At ‘Mystic Pop-Up Bar,’ I have to make 20 fishcake skewers as soon as I come to work. I sometimes have to naturally ‘touch’ the customers if the owner gives me a look because I have to look inside their minds.”

He continued, “But what’s worthwhile is that I can go inside customers’ dreams and relieve their pain and sadness if I drink the ‘Mystic Pop-Up Bar’ drink. This is the most important part, but ‘Mystic Pop-Up Bar’ airs starting Wednesday, May 20 on JTBC Drama.”

He concluded, “Please take good care of our ‘Mystic Pop-Up Bar.'”

“Mystic Pop-Up Bar” premieres on May 20 at 9:30 p.m. KST. Check out the clip below:
