Watch: Stray Kids' Changbin Drops Emotional Self-Composed Track Featuring Bang Chan

Stray Kids’ Changbin has surprised fans with a powerful new song!

On May 17 at midnight KST, Changbin shared a music video for the track “Streetlight,” for which he co-wrote the music together with Bang Chan and penned the lyrics on his own.

Changbin also opened up about the meaning behind “Streetlight,” explaining, “It’s a song in which I use the lyrics to compare a person who suffers emotional pain and sorrow on his own without telling anyone, who smiles and pretends like things are okay, to a streetlight.”

He went on to offer advice to anyone who was struggling with that kind of experience, adding, “If you ask someone for advice about your problems, even if that person can’t resolve everything for you, just opening up about your feelings makes your heart rest a little easier.”

“To be honest,” he continued, “before I wrote this song, there was a time when I also really struggled on my own and wasn’t able to tell anyone. But by writing those feelings into my lyrics and recording this song, I felt like I had shared them with someone, which gave me a sense of relief.”

Changbin concluded, “I hope that the people who listen to this song will also find someone who will listen to what they have to say and empathize with their pain.”
