T-ara's Jiyeon And Song Jae Rim Spotted Together + Agencies Deny They're Dating
T-ara’s Jiyeon and Song Jae Rim were swept up in dating rumors, and both actors’ agencies have spoken up.
On May 19, news outlet Sports Kyunghyang reported that Jiyeon and Song Jae Rim had gone on a drive to Chungju of North Chungcheong Province on May 17. They were spotted by a local resident who shared, “Last weekend, the two of them were refueling their car at a gas station. Jiyeon got out of the car to pump the gas herself, but she wasn’t very good at it so Song Jae Rim, who was in the passenger seat, got out and helped her. They seemed very close, and it looked like they were on a date. They kept looking around like they felt conscious about being seen.”
Following the report, the two celebrities’ agencies denied that the actors are in a relationship.
A source from Jiyeon’s agency Partners Park explained, “[Jiyeon] became acquainted with Song Jae Rim through a drama, and they are now close colleagues. Song Jae Rim had booked a motorcycle track in Taebaek. Jiyeon recently bought a motorcycle and is learning to ride it. She said that they went together after talking about learning to ride the motorcycle at a track. They already had the motorcycles sent over and traveled to Taebaek in Jiyeon’s car. That is most likely what the [passerby] saw.”
Song Jae Rim’s agency Grand Anse Entertainment released the following official statement:

This is our official statement regarding today’s report on Song Jae Rim’s relationship. The two individuals met through KBS’s “I Wanna Hear Your Song,” which ended in September 2019. They are simply close colleagues who share a common hobby of motorcycling. On May 17, the day they were seen, Song Jae Rim had plans to practice at a motorcycle track located in Taebaek, and Jiyeon, who is currently at the beginner level, joined him. The misunderstanding most likely arose because the tracks that are safe to practice in are located in the countryside.
