NU'EST Discusses Hopes For The Future And Whether They've Experienced Dark Times In Their Career

NU’EST opened up about their goals, their latest album, and whether they’ve experienced dark times in their career in a pictorial with Arena Homme+ as the cover models of the magazine’s June issue.

The interview that followed the photo shoot was centered around the theme of growing pains, and the members are said to have gotten candid as they talked about the changes they’ve gone through as idols in their ninth year together, how their mindsets have become different, and their future goals.

Leader JR said, “I want to be someone who makes other people happy. When I see our fans happy, it makes me realize that all of the effort we’ve been putting in wasn’t in vain.” Ren shared, “Though I’m sometimes worried about what will happen in the future, the future also holds new opportunities for us to experience, and that excites me. I hope to be someone who has a good influence on more people.”

When asked if the group has experienced dark times in their time as idols, Minhyun shared his positive outlook on life as he said, “Because I’ve always had a steadfast faith in us, I couldn’t say that we’ve experienced dark times.” Baekho opened up about their latest album “The Nocturne” and said, “This album reflects a lot of different interpretations of night that represent me, my fellow members, and others. I am grateful of the fact that our music has become a part of our fans’ lives, and it makes me want to devote more of myself to our music.”

Lastly, Aron raised anticipation for the group’s future as he said, “As someone who performs on stage, I hope to show people a better and more mature side. There are many things I still hope for us to achieve. I don’t want to disappoint my fellow members or the people who are precious to me.”
