Kim Min Kyu To Appear As Kim Yoo Jung's Former Classmate In "Backstreet Rookie"

Kim Min Kyu will be making a special appearance in the upcoming SBS drama “Backstreet Rookie!”

“Backstreet Rookie” is a romantic comedy set in a 24-hour convenience store. Kim Yoo Jung plays the capable but unpredictable Jung Saet Byul, who works the night shift at a convenience store run by the clumsy but handsome Choi Dae Hyun (Ji Chang Wook).

Kim Min Kyu will play the character Ji Wook, Jung Saet Byul’s former elementary school classmate. Ji Wook was an ordinary part-time worker at a convenience store until he singlehandedly stopped a robbery, made it on the news, and debuted as a celebrity. He is now a rising star who is receiving lots of love from the public. One day, he coincidentally runs into his former classmate at a convenience store.

“Backstreet Rookie” is set to premiere on June 12.
