JYP Entertainment Issues Warning Against Invasions Of DAY6's Privacy

On May 28, JYP Entertainment issued a statement about taking legal action against continued violations of DAY6’s privacy.

The statement reads:

Despite the fact that we have issued multiple notices about the rules regarding the safety and privacy of our artists, our artists continue to receive extreme stress from excessive behavior such as following them around on their personal schedules and attempting to enter the location or loitering outside.

Repeated behavior such as attempting to contact someone when they have made their intentions clear, stalking them from afar, following them around, or waiting for them in hiding is a violation of rights and is punishable under existing laws. We are currently gathering evidence about these violations of our artists’ rights (including CCTV footage from our agency building).

In the future, if the same people engage in repeated behavior that violates our artists’ safety and privacy, regardless of whether they have received warnings or been blacklisted, we inform you that it is possible that we will take legal action.

We earnestly ask that you allow DAY6 to enjoy their rest and go about their daily lives in order to return even better than before.

DAY6 recently released their new album, “The Book of Us: The Demon,” and title track “Zombie.” Both the album and title track have performed well on domestic and international music charts. Prior to their comeback, DAY6 announced a temporary suspension of team promotions in order to focus on their mental health.
