Multitalented Main Rapper Of Idol Group Shows His Vocal Talent On “The King Of Mask Singer”

On the May 31 episode of MBC’s “The King of Mask Singer,” a new round of challengers emerged to challenge the champion for the throne.

The third match-up of Round 1 was between “Seriously Annoyed” and “It’s the Best.” The two contestants sang a cover of Brown Eyes’ “Already One Year” and impressed the audience with their unique vocal tones.

“Seriously Annoyed” took the win over “It’s the Best” with 12 votes to 9 and moved on to Round 2. “It’s the Best” sang Lee Jung’s “Look At Me” for his final song and unmasked himself to reveal his identity as MONSTA X’s Joohoney!

Joohoney said, “I produce music as well, so I wanted to let [producer Yoon Sang] know that I’m a huge fan of his. He’s written a lot of great girl group songs, but I’d like to ask him to make a song for MONSTA X too.”

At the end, Joohoney said, “I want to become an all-around player. I want to be an artist who can rap, sing, and produce music. My goal is to become a musician like Michael Jackson.”

On Twitter, Joohoney wrote, “I’m so happy that I was able to go on ‘The King of Mask Singer,’ a program that I really wanted to appear on. I’ve learned a lot and I’ll practice hard in order to sing an amazing song for Monbebes in the future.”
