Song Ji Hyo Talks About Her Public Image And How “Running Man” Has Helped Her
On June 2, Song Ji Hyo sat down for an interview with DongA.com to talk about her new film, “Intruder.”
During the interview, the actress talked about the impact of “Running Man” on her public image. She said, “I acknowledge that people automatically think of ‘Running Man’ when they think of me. But I haven’t experienced serious obstructions to my acting career because of that. I didn’t have a particularly healthy image before I went on ‘Running Man.’ I did a lot of dark projects like ‘Wishing Stairs’ and ‘Some.'”
Song Ji Hyo continued, “Through ‘Running Man,’ I gained more opportunities to show what kind of actress I am. It might seem exhausting to some people, but I’m satisfied. I’ve been able to do my best until now with the mindset that if there’s a beginning, there will be an ending.”
She added, “Whether it’s in dramas, films, or variety shows, the side of myself that I show is an honest part of myself. But the place where I can be most honest with who I am is on ‘Running Man.’ Because I’ve been on the show for so long, I’m not afraid to show everything.”
“Intruder” will premiere in South Korea on June 4.
