(G)I-DLE Announces Online Concert After Canceling 1st World Tour

(G)I-DLE has announced plans to hold an online concert instead of their previously scheduled first world tour.

Earlier this year, (G)I-DLE postponed their first world tour “I-LAND: WHO AM I,” which was originally scheduled to kick off in April and continue through this summer, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

On June 5, Cube Entertainment announced that due to the ongoing pandemic, (G)I-DLE would officially be canceling the tour instead of rescheduling it. The agency commented, “This decision was made out of consideration for the health and safety of both our artist and the audience, so we ask for fans’ understanding.”

However, fans and would-be concertgoers will still have the chance to see (G)I-DLE perform—albeit virtually.

Next month, G)I-DLE will be holding an online concert entitled “I-LAND: WHO AM I” on July 5 at 3 p.m. KST. According to Cube Entertainment, further details about ticket sales “will be announced shortly.”

As for information regarding ticket refunds for the cancelled tour, the agency added, “Ticket refund information will be available via promoter or ticketing websites.”
