INFINITE's Kim Myung Soo And Sunggyu Look Back On Their Favorite Memories To Celebrate Group's 10th Anniversary

INFINITE’s Kim Myung Soo and Sunggyu reflected on the group’s recent 10 year anniversary!

On June 9, the day of their anniversary, the only two members not currently serving in the military participated in a Naver V Live eating broadcast. The menu of the night was a Korean-style buffet, of which they commented, “We both love Korean food. We like today’s food. Whenever we tour overseas, the two of us always look around for Korean restaurants.”

They were asked about their happiest memories from the past 10 years and Sunggyu shared, “One time we went on a trip together to Thailand. Thinking about it now, the time when we could go on vacation together is so memorable.” He added with a laugh, “I remember being really upset at Sungyeol then.”

Kim Myung Soo chimed in, “Whenever we were in the waiting room, whether we were touring or promoting, we would pick a topic and just talk, but 80 percent of the time it was us just teasing Sungjong. I remember joking around like that. When I promote alone, I sometimes think about and miss our loud atmosphere.”

Looking back on their debut, they also discussed what has changed the most. They commented, “Since it’s our 10th anniversary, it would’ve been great if all six of us were together, but they are all dutifully fulfilling their military service. As a result, only two of us are here today. We miss them a lot. Yesterday, we all congratulated each other and chaotically chatted for the first time in a while. In the future, I hope that things change for the good and that we can all be happy together.”

When asked what they want to tell their younger self from 10 years ago, Kim Myung Soo answered, “Since starting is the halfway point, enjoy the present and do well. I would tell myself, ‘Carpe Diem.'”

Sunggyu hilariously added, “I would want to speak realistically. ‘Hey, work hard, you’ll age quickly.'”

The two also looked ahead 10 years, commenting, “We’ll be around 40 but we can’t imagine it. I think we’ll be doing well. We’ll probably still be good looking and still have voices like orioles,” which are songbirds.

They continued, “We’ll probably still be working. We could still be together and even if we’ve changed, we will still always be INFINITE.”

At the end of the broadcast, the two shared their final thoughts on the show and the group’s 10th anniversary. Kim Myung Soo shared, “INFINITE is celebrating our 10th anniversary but we were able to get here because of INSPIRIT [INFINITE’s fandom]. I hope we will continue to show a good side of ourselves in the future. Thank you for supporting us. I love you.”

Sunggyu commented, “I’ve been so happy. A lot has happened in the past 10 years but because you were all there with us, we were able to create such happy memories. In the future, I hope you continue to enjoy the present and that we can keep seeing each other for a long, long time.”
