Kim Dong Hee Talks About Growing Up In A Single-Parent Household

Actor Kim Dong Hee recently appeared on the tvN variety program “You Quiz on the Block.”

Kim Dong Hee, born in 1999, made his acting debut in the web series “A-TEEN” before appearing in a slew of hit projects like “SKY Castle,” “Itaewon Class,” and the Netflix series “Extracurricular.”

During the show, Yoo Jae Suk asked him, “How would you describe the person ‘Kim Dong Hee’?” Kim Dong Hee replied, “I think that I have a strong stubborn streak. I’m trying to change that stubbornness into conviction. It’s hard to say that I’ve had a smooth path in life. There was never a time when it wasn’t difficult.”

The actor also shared a little about his family background, saying, “I wanted to talk about this at some point. It’s just me and my mom. She went through a lot in raising me by herself. She’s still very young. When I think about it now, my heart hurts. She didn’t get the opportunity to do much. She sacrificed everything for me and I think that her health is no longer what it was. I want to give her back her youth. I want to be with her for a long time.”
