BLACKPINK Sets New Record For Girl Groups As “How You Like That” Sweeps iTunes Charts Worldwide
BLACKPINK has made iTunes history with their latest single!
On June 26 at 6 p.m. KST, BLACKPINK made their long-awaited return with the pre-release single “How You Like That.” Within hours of its release, the song not only shot to the top of domestic realtime music charts, but it also went on to dominate iTunes charts in countries all over the world.
The next morning, YG Entertainment confirmed that as of 7 a.m. KST on June 27, “How You Like That” had hit No. 1 on iTunes Top Songs charts in at least 60 different regions including the United States—a number that has since climbed to 64—setting a new all-time record for girl groups.
BLACKPINK’s new music video for “How You Like That” has also been smashing YouTube records since its release. After drawing an unprecedented number of viewers for its premiere, the music video has been racking up views at a record-breaking speed, most recently surging past 60 million views in record time.
