Weki Meki’s Choi Yoojung And Kim Doyeon To Star In New Web Drama Together
Weki Meki’s Choi Yoojung and Kim Doyeon have been cast in a web drama together!
The web drama is titled “Melo, Not Solo” (literal title) and tells the story of Bong Joo Yi (Choi Yoojung) and Ji Yeon Seo (Kim Doyeon), two college students who have never dated anyone in their lives. They both graduated from all-girls schools in middle school and high school, and they are enrolled in a women’s university. They somehow end up living in a share house with three men, and they finally find the first romance of their lives.
Bong Joo Yi, played by Choi Yoojung, is an easygoing character who laughs a lot when she’s among other female friends, but she freezes up around guys and becomes unable to say anything.
Kim Doyeon’s character Ji Yeon Seo’s chic appearance stands in stark contrast with her clumsy and child-like personality. Though she doesn’t look like it, she falls in love very easily.
Because Kim Doyeon and Choi Yoojung are same-aged friends in real life, their acting as friends in the drama is already expected to be an accurate representation of a true friendship. Choi Yoojung made her acting debut earlier this year with the web drama “Cast: The Golden Age of Insiders,” and Kim Doyeon is currently starring in the web drama “Pop Out Boy!” with Kim Min Kyu from “Produce X 101.”
“Melo, Not Solo” will be produced by Whynot Media and released on KOK TV’s YouTube channel in the second half of this year.
