JTBC’s new drama “Was It Love?” has gotten off to a quiet start in viewership ratings.

According to Nielsen Korea, the July 8 premiere episode recorded average nationwide ratings of 2.003 percent. This is lower than the premiere ratings of its predecessor, “Mystic Pop-Up Bar,” which started off with 3.6 percent.

“Was It Love?” is a rom-com starring Song Ji Hyo as Noh Ae Jung, a movie producer and single mother who has been on her own for 14 years. Despite having given up on romance, she suddenly finds herself in an unexpected second chapter of her love life when four different men enter her story at the same time.

On the public broadcasting side, MBC’s new drama “She Knows Everything” premiered to average nationwide ratings of 3.2 and 4.2 percent. This is a decrease from both the first and last episodes of its predecessor, “Kkondae Intern.”

“She Knows Everything” is a mystery drama about a real estate expert (Kang Sung Yun) and a detective (Jo Han Sun) who work to uncover the truth behind a mysterious death at an apartment. It is a four-episode drama scheduled to air between July 8 and July 16.

KBS’s “Into the Ring” also saw a slight decrease in ratings this week with 2.5 and 3.2 percent.
