Watch: Red Velvet's Irene And Seulgi Attempt To Teach Kang Ho Dong Their Choreo In Hilarious Preview For "Ask Us Anything" Spin-Off
Red Velvet’s Irene and Seulgi will be appearing on the next episode of JTBC’s new “Ask Us Anything” spin-off!
Earlier this month, JTBC launched a brand-new spin-off of “Ask Us Anything” entitled “After-School Activities” (literal translation). The program will feature each of the cast members learning new skills through after-school classes, and Kang Ho Dong—the first member to appear in the segment—is currently attempting to learn how to dance like an idol from Super Junior’s Shindong.
On July 18, JTBC released a preview of its upcoming episode, which will feature Red Velvet’s Irene and Seulgi as special guests. The two idols, who recently made their subunit debut with “Monster,” will be teaching Kang Ho Dong and Shindong the choreography to their new title track.
The preview begins with Shindong telling Kang Ho Dong, “Today, I’ve brought teachers that will show us how to perform a really cool dance as a duo.” Irene and Seulgi then demonstrate the choreography to “Monster,” after which Seulgi asks, “Will the two of you be forming a duo, then?” Shindong replies, “We need to learn this,” and Kang Ho Dong exclaims in shock, “You mean ‘Monster’? [We’ll be learning] this?!”
Hilarity ensues as Kang Ho Dong valiantly attempts to imitate Irene and Seulgi’s sultry dance moves, with Shindong joining him as his dance partner. While performing the part of the choreography where Seulgi appears to control Irene’s head with her hand movements, Shindong playfully pretends that Kang Ho Dong punched him in the face—leading Irene to gasp in surprise, “I thought he really hit him!”
The preview ends with Irene and Seulgi rushing over to Kang Ho Dong in concern after he falls down while dancing, with the caption jokingly asking, “Will ‘Monster’… be okay?”
Irene and Seulgi’s episode of “After-School Activities” will air on July 25 at 11 p.m. KST. In the meantime, check out the new preview below!
