ATEEZ revealed their goals for their promotions, thanked Block B’s P.O for his support, and more!

On July 29 at 6 p.m. KST, the group made a comeback with their album “ZERO : FEVER part.1” and one of their title tracks “INCEPTION.”

In an interview, the members described how they felt returning with a new album. Seonghwa said, “Our hiatus was the longest we’ve had so far. We’ve prepared more thoroughly during that period, so we are happy to be able to put out good music and excited to show everyone our performances.”

Yunho added, “We’ve ended our ‘TREASURE’ series, and we are very thankful to be able to see ATINY [ATEEZ fans] for the first time in a while with a new concept through our ‘FEVER’ series. We’ve prepared a lot so please look forward to it.”

To decide which title track the group will promote for this comeback, ATEEZ had encouraged fans, the members, and other celebrities to vote between “INCEPTION” and “THANXX.” The members talked about the process of approaching celebrities themselves to get their votes.

“It was an honor to meet so many great seniors from different fields,” Yunho said. “We were thankful that they sincerely thought about the choices in order to vote. Every piece of advice has also motivated us to work harder during this promotion period.”

Hongjoong also shared a story about receiving support from Block B’s P.O. “When we visited the set of ‘Amazing Saturday,’ P.O had already asked the other guests to help us out, saying that junior artists from his agency were coming over,” Hongjoong said. “P.O made it comfortable for everyone, so we were very thankful.”

Next, Mingi talked about how he and Hongjoong had taken part in writing the lyrics for five out of the seven tracks on the album, with Hongjoong also working on the composition and arrangement of the songs.

Mingi said, “We tried very hard while working on the album to change things up and widen our musical spectrum since it’s for our new series. We also focused on trying to record in a way that makes each track’s unique qualities stand out, so we’d be very happy if our listeners noticed that.”

Yeosang then commented on the group being known for their impressive performances even since their debut. He said, “This time, we also want to be described as a group that not only has great performances, but can relay emotions and messages to listeners.”

ATEEZ recently set a new personal record with “ZERO : FEVER Part.1” reaching 250,000 stock pre-orders, and Yunho expressed his gratitude. He said, “It’s all thanks to ATINY that we’ve gotten this far. We won’t be complacent about this, and we think it’s become an opportunity for us to continue speeding forward with ATINY in the future.”

The members shared their goals and plans for this promotion period. Wooyoung said, “If we are able to safely finish promoting without any of the eight members getting hurt, we couldn’t ask for more. Above all, we hope that ATINY are happy watching all of us.”

Jongho said, “We want to make the name ‘ATEEZ’ more known to the public, and if we get the chance, we want to try for the No. 1 spot at a music show.”
