“Steel Rain 2: Summit” has reached an important milestone!
On August 2, Lotte Entertainment, the distributor of the film, shared the news that “Steel Rain 2” had surpassed one million moviegoers. According to the Korean Film Council, the film had reached over 788,000 moviegoers by August 1 and was expected to reach the one million mark by the end of the weekend. The film was released on July 29 and managed to achieve the feat in just five days.
To celebrate, director Yang Woo Seok and lead actors Jung Woo Sung and Yoo Yeon Seok posted handwritten messages of gratitude to everyone who watched the film.
Jung Woo Sung also posted a few photos of himself and Yoo Yeon Seok holding up a sign that reads, “Wow! Thank you for one million!”
“Steal Rain 2” is the sequel to 2017’s “Steel Rain,” which was about the aftermath of a coup in North Korea. “Steel Rain 2” is about a crisis that unfolds when the three leaders of the Koreas-United States summit are kidnapped in a North Korean nuclear-powered submarine.
