ATEEZ Draws Attention For Performing With Traditional Hanbok Outfits On National Liberation Day

ATEEZ’s beautiful traditional hanbok outfits caught the eye of viewers!

On August 15, Korea’s National Liberation Day, ATEEZ performed “INCEPTION” on “Music Core” wearing hanbok-inspired outfits. While it was not ATEEZ’s first time wearing these outfits, the fact that they were wearing them on National Liberation Day made it more meaningful.

Brand C-ZANN E’s designer Lee Seo Jeong, who created the outfits, explained, “When we were told about the concept of the song ‘INCEPTION,’ we took the idea of a dream within a dream and applied our classical literature “The Cloud Dream of the Nine” to it. On the inside, we layered a cheonggeumbok, which is our country’s first school uniform, worn by the students of Sungkyunkwan. We used sashes to represent the hanbok’s goreum and accentuated the look with graphics drawn with ink from an ink stick. The details of the hanbok, like the many openings and the flowing goreum, were shown well through ATEEZ’s choreography.” ATEEZ’s logo was also subtly incorporated into the design.

After the performance on August 15, ATEEZ shared, “It felt special to perform on a special day wearing special outfits. We would be so happy and proud if our country’s traditional clothing could be spotlighted further through our stage. We thank our stylists for always preparing cool and beautiful outfits for us.”
