“Train” Ends On Slight Ratings Increase As “Forest Of Secrets 2” Remains No. 1 In Time Slot

OCN’s “Train” has come to an end!

On August 17, the parallel-universe drama starring Yoon Shi Yoon and Kyung Soo Jin aired its series finale. The drama drew modest viewership ratings over the course of its 12-episode run despite positive feedback from viewers, and it returned to its personal all-time high for its final episode: according to Nielsen Korea, the broadcast scored an average nationwide rating of 1.4 percent.

Meanwhile, tvN’s “Forest of Secrets 2” managed to hold onto first place in its time slot across all cable channels for its second episode, despite seeing a decline in viewership from its first episode the night before (which achieved the second-highest ratings of any Saturday-Sunday drama premiere in tvN history). The second episode of “Forest of Secrets 2” scored an average nationwide rating of 6.4 percent and a peak of 6.9 percent.

Finally, KBS 2TV’s “Once Again” continued its reign as the most-watched drama of the weekend with average nationwide ratings of 29.6 percent and 32.9 percent for its two parts.
