MBN To Launch New Show Giving Forgotten Female Idols A Second Chance With Baek Ji Young As Their Mentor

MBN is gearing up to launch a new program that highlights forgotten female idols.

On August 19, MBN announced that it is currently preparing a new variety show called “Miss Back” (working title). The program will be a mix between a documentary and variety show, and will follow a group of female singers who made their debut in idol groups but are slowly being forgotten in the minds of the public. Through the show, they will be able to share their stories, prepare stunning performances, and hope for another chance at success as singers.

Leading the singers will be none other than Baek Ji Young as the show’s producer and life mentor. Not only will she be providing vocal training to the contestants, but she will also help heal their past wounds. Baek Ji Young will share what she has learned in her 22 years in the industry and help lead the contestants towards a new beginning.

The show aims to provide a turning point to singers who made their debut as idols but have had to step away from the stage for a variety of reasons. The singers who participate in the show will team up with a group of industry experts to hopefully capture viewers’ hearts with their heartfelt stories and captivating performances.

“Miss Back” is currently set to air in the second half of the year.
