"Forest Of Secrets 2" Teases Fierce Debate Between Police And Prosecution

The second season of “Forest of Secrets” has released new stills previewing tense negotiations between the police and the prosecution in the upcoming episode!

The new episode will show the prosecution and police taking their first steps towards negotiation after thorough preparations. Viewers are anticipating the intense debate that will take place as they butt heads over who will take jurisdiction in the investigation.

In the previous episode, Woo Tae Ha (Choi Moo Sung) pinpointed the police office’s fatal blind spot in order to protect the investigative rights of the prosecution. Bringing up a case in which a policeman supposedly took his own life due to depression, he raised suspicions that the policeman could have been murdered by his own comrade.

He then ordered Hwang Si Mok (Cho Seung Woo) and Seo Dong Jae (Lee Joon Hyuk) to investigate the matter, pouring his utmost effort into revealing the truth of the case that could completely dismantle the police office’s attempt to gain investigative rights. Curiosity is mounting over what kind of effect this case will have on the meeting between the prosecution and the police.

Meanwhile, Choi Bit (Jeon Hye Jin) was declared innocent of all suspicion in the Tongyeong Incident in just a day due to special treatment in consideration of her former position in prosecution, a strike of luck she will likely never experience again. Using the media, she raised awareness of the evils of the prosecution and the need to revise the rights of investigation.

Having made an advantageous situation for the police, Choi Bit proved that she was no pushover. She is expected to put her life on the line during the meeting, with her biting words sure to be a main point of interest in the upcoming episode.

The newly released stills preview the upcoming confrontation. Although members of both teams stand side by side to take a commemorative photo, their expressions signal that they are all primed and ready for the intense battle of nerves that is about to take place.

The preview at the end of the previous episode also teased the tensions that are soon to rise between the police and the prosecution. In the preview, Choi Bit argues, “Why bother meeting if we’re just going to accept the government’s proposal?” Hwang Si Mok also notes, “With the power to request warrants, you will face pressure to prosecute or not prosecute certain cases,” pinpointing the essence of the debate.

The production team also raised anticipation for the upcoming episode, commenting, “To find out what kind of cards will be pulled, look forward to the first conference between the prosecution and the police in which they will either attempt to protect or obtain investigative rights.”

The next episode of “Forest of Secrets 2” airs on August 23 at 9 p.m. KST.
