Stray Kids’ Han and Seungmin have surprised fans with an emotional new cover!

On August 24, Han and Seungmin released a beautiful duet version of their labelmate DAY6’s debut track “Congratulations.” The Stray Kids members have often shown love for DAY6’s music, particularly Seungmin, who is well-known for being a huge fan of the band.

Shortly afterwards, both Han and Seungmin took to Instagram to share their thoughts on the cover.

Han wrote, “STAY [Stray Kids’ official fan club], did you enjoy listening to our cover of ‘Congratulations,’ which Seungmin and I worked really hard to prepare?? I had so much fun covering it, and I think we were both really happy to be able to give our STAY a gift! STAY, please listen to our cover a lot, and we’ll continue to work even harder in the future so that we can try to show you great things!! Thank you, everyone, and I love you!!”

Meanwhile, Seungmin wrote, “Congratulations! It’s been a long time since we released a ‘SKZ-RECORD’ for STAY to listen to. This was a song that I really wanted to sing. I was going to ask Han for help because the song features a rap part, but then I thought it would be really great if he also sang it together with me, so the two of us ended up singing together this time. I’m grateful to Han for singing the song with me, and I was also really, really thankful to Chan for helping us record it. Because we had to try to pull off the emotions of the original song, I think we really learned a lot through this ‘SKZ-RECORD.’ Please enjoy listening to our song this time as well, STAY.”
