Jin said, “‘Dynamite’ was a song that began with the pure thought of wanting to have fun with our fans, so I was very surprised and happy that it achieved the unimaginable result of No. 1 on the Hot 100. I think it’s something we achieved with our fans. I’m truly thankful.”

Suga expressed, “Taking No. 1 on the Hot 100, I’m a bit stunned and in disbelief. When asked about my goals, I used to say that I wanted to reach No. 1 on the Hot 100, and I’m feeling great now that my dream has become reality. Thank you ARMY for letting this become more than just a dream. I won’t rest on my laurels and will work even harder.”

J-Hope said, “I can’t tell if this is a dream or reality. I’ve never felt like this. I’m feeling emotions that are hard to explain in words. I’m simply grateful to our fans. I started [this career] because I liked dance and music, and I never imagined that we’d be a group that takes first place on the Hot 100. I’m filled with emotion thinking that our sincerity was successfully conveyed. I would like to share all of the honor with our fans.”

Jimin shared, “‘Dynamite’ was a song we released with the hope that it would provide even just a little bit of consolation to others, not for good scores. When I heard the tremendous news of the unexpected No. 1 on the Hot 100, I was so happy and thankful that I couldn’t find the right words to express it. I’m thankful to the members who worked hard together, and I’m truly thankful to our fans who love us. I will do my best to impress our fans further and provide even greater works they can see and enjoy.”

V commented, “It’s a goal any singer would dream of reaching. I never even imagined that we’d place No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot 100. When I first heard the news, I didn’t believe it, and I was very surprised when I confirmed it with my own eyes. Thanks to ARMY, another one of BTS’s dreams has come true. Thank you, and we’ll keep working hard.”

Lastly, Jungkook said, “When I heard that we got No. 1 on the Hot 100, it felt like a dream, and I was so happy at that moment. I’m thankful to ARMY. It made me curious about where the limits of ARMY and BTS are, and it made me think that we should keep challenging ourselves and doing our best. Once again, I thank ARMY for believing in and supporting us.”

Other celebrities and prominent figures have also congratulated BTS on their outstanding accomplishment on the Billboard chart.

President Moon Jae In wrote, “BTS has achieved their first No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart, writing a new chapter in K-pop history as the first Korean band to do so. After topping the Billboard 200 Albums chart four times, they have now set a new record of reaching No. 1 on both charts. It is truly amazing. It is a splendid feat that further raises pride in K-pop. The song ‘Dynamite,’ which topped the list, is all the more meaningful as it has been composed to give a message of comfort and hope to people around the world who are struggling with COVID-19. It will bring huge consolation to Koreans suffering from the national crisis caused by COVID-19. I offer my heartfelt congratulations.”

PSY also posted a screenshot of Billboard’s Hot 100 on his Instagram story along with the hashtags, “Finally,” “Proud,” and “I’m sincerely proud.”

The Weeknd shared his congratulations for BTS, saying, “Really cool. This is so big for Asian artists. Huge congratulations to BTS.”
