Jung Hae In, Son Seok Gu, Kim Sung Kyun, And More Cast In New Netflix Series

Netflix’s new original series “D.P.” has confirmed its lead cast!

“D.P.” (“Deserter Pursuit”) is about a private named Ahn Jun Ho who is fulfilling his mandatory military service like other young men his age when he is suddenly conscripted into a special squad sent out to chase down deserters from the military. It is based on the popular webtoon by Kim Bo Tong.

Jung Hae In has been cast as Ahn Jun Ho, a quiet and calm private who is not good at adapting to new situations. He becomes part of the D.P. squad when his observation skills and patience catch the eye of the officer in charge.

Goo Kyo Hwan, who recently appeared in the hit film “Peninsula,” has been cast as Han Ho Yeol, the team leader of the D.P. squad. Although he seems like a playboy with no ambition or drive, he is a dependable soldier who helps Ahn Jun Ho adjust to life in the squad, even though he gets irritated with the new soldier at times.

Kim Sung Kyun has been cast as Sergeant Park Bum Goo, the officer in charge of the D.P. squad. He suffers from high stress and chronic fatigue and often swears at and scolds Ahn Jun Ho and Han Ho Yeol, but he takes care of the squad through his veteran insight.

Son Suk Goo has been cast as Im Ji Seob, an executive in the military police who graduated from the Korea Military Academy. He only cares about good results and considers the D.P. squad to be a nuisance.

“D.P.” will be directed by Han Jun Hee, whose debut feature-length film, “Coin Locker Girl” (also known as “Chinatown”), was selected to screen in the International Critics’ Week section of the 68th Cannes Film Festival. It will be written by Han Joon Hee and the original webtoon writer, Kim Bo Tong.
