Joo Won And Kim Hee Sun Are On Different Pages Following A Shocking First Encounter In "Alice"
SBS’s Friday-Saturday drama “Alice” released new stills of Joo Won, Kim Hee Sun, and Kwak Si Yang!
“Alice” is a sci-fi drama about an emotionless detective (Joo Won) who learns about the existence of time travel as he tracks down his mother’s killer and discovers a woman who looks exactly like his dead mother (Kim Hee Sun).

The previous episode ended on a shocking note when Yoon Tae Yi (Kim Hee Sun) and Park Jin Kyeom (Joo Won) finally met each other. Due to Yoon Tae Yi’s resemblance to Park Jin Kyeom’s mother, Park Jin Kyeom looked at her with a sad gaze and hugged her tightly, surprising Yoon Tae Yi greatly.
New stills of Yoon Tae Yi and Park Jin Kyeom reveal the two having a conversation at Yoon Tae Yi’s office. By looking at their clothes, the scene appears to take place directly after the ending of the second episode. As expected, Yoon Tae Yi looks confused by the absurd situation while Park Jin Kyeom stares back at her in disbelief.
The production team revealed that in the upcoming episode, Yoon Tae Yi and Park Jin Kyeom will share a conversation for the first time. They explained, “In Yoon Tae Yi’s perspective, she’ll be flustered by Park Jin Kyeom’s abrupt appearance, and in Park Jin Kyeom’s perspective, he’ll remember the memories of his late mother Park Sun Young due to Yoon Tae Yi. Since they each have different thoughts, their conversation will surprise everyone. The two actors Kim Hee Sun and Joo Won portrayed this special scene with perfect chemistry. Please anticipate and show lots of interest.”
More stills will also give greater insight into Kim Hee Sun’s character as the eccentric genius physicist Yoon Tae Yi. In the pictures, Yoon Tae Yi observes something closely with curiosity as if she’s discovered something very interesting. Her sharp eyes shine brightly, conveying her intelligence and confident charisma.
Although Kim Hee Sun took on the role of the loving mother Park Sun Young in the previous episodes, she’ll be making a complete transformation in the upcoming episodes by changing up her style and gaze as well as the way she walks and talks.
Furthermore, another set of stills reveals an intense action scene between Park Jin Kyeom and Yoo Min Hyuk (Kwak Si Yang). Surrounded by books, Park Jin Kyeom appears to be concentrating when sparks flash beside him. Amidst the scattered book pages, mysterious figures wearing black suits appear in front of Park Jin Kyeom.
A third photo reveals Alice guide team leader Yoo Min Hyuk pointing his gun at someone. Finally, in the last photo, Park Jin Kyeom lies on the ground, shocking viewers.
Previously, Park Jin Kyeom subdued time traveler Yang Hong Seob (Lee Jung Hyun), who committed a murder in the year 2020. In his belongings, Park Jin Kyeom found a mysterious card, which is given to time travelers by Alice. The stills appear to hint that Yoo Min Hyuk has come for Park Jin Kyeom in order to retrieve the card.
Although the two are unaware of the fact, Park Jin Kyeom and Yoo Min Hyuk are actually son and father. This is because Yoo Min Hyuk’s lover from 2050 traveled back in time to 1992 to give birth to her son Park Jin Kyeom.
The production team revealed that the two actors enthusiastically participated in the difficult action scene, checking their teamwork to film the scene safely.
The next episode of “Alice” airs on September 4 at 10 p.m. KST.
