tvN has shared a new teaser for their highly anticipated drama “Start-Up”!
“Start-Up” takes place in South Korea’s fictional Silicon Valley named Sandbox and is about people in the world of startup companies. Suzy stars as Seo Dal Mi, who dreams of becoming Korea’s Steve Jobs, and Nam Joo Hyuk stars as Nam Do San, the founder of Samsan Tech. Kim Seon Ho plays Han Ji Pyung, a team leader at SH Venture Capital, and Kang Han Na plays Won In Jae, a CEO and second-generation chaebol.
In the new teaser, Seo Dal Mi and Won In Jae appear to have known each other for a long time, addressing each other in informal speech. The two women clash at a conference and Won In Jae says, “I can see clearly what kind of position you’re in. Thanks. For showing me a different choice.” But Seo Dal Mi refuses to back down and taps on her car window, saying confidently, “Give me a time and place. I’ll go with you to Do San.”
Meanwhile, Nam Do San and Han Ji Pyung form a strange partnership. Nam Do San picks up a pile of letters that Seo Dal Mi wrote to him and asks in confusion, “What is all this?” Han Ji Pyung says, “I know this is confusing, but please pretend to be the Nam Do San in those letters.” Later, Nam Do San gives his friends a pep talk and says, “We have to succeed so that we don’t disappoint Dal Mi.” The teaser ends with Seo Dal Mi saying, “Don’t worry. I’ve never once regretted a choice I made.”
Business rivals? Love letters? Strange partnerships? “Start-Up” premieres on October 17 at 9 p.m. KST.
