“Running Man” Cast And Guests Chaotically Debate A Common Relationship Question
On the September 27 episode of SBS’s “Running Man,” the cast and guests divided into two teams for a race to see who would be the “trade king.”
On the “America” team were Kim Jong Kook (captain), Park Joon Hyung, Ailee, HaHa, and Jun So Min. On the “Asia” team were Lee Kwang Soo (captain), Yang Se Chan, Song Ji Hyo, Kangnam, and EVERGLOW’s Yiren. Yoo Jae Suk and Ji Suk Jin were the “brokers” and the MCs.
The first game was a debate about some issues that had gone viral online. To win, the team had to persuade the MCs to their side. One of the issues was about whether you should share your phone password with your relationship partner.
Yang Se Chan said, “I’ve had relationships end because of this issue. There are times when you joke around with your friends in a group chat just to be funny. But she saw it and misunderstood. They thought I was a weird person.”
Lee Kwang Soo brought up an old joke on the show and said, “This is that flight attendant, right?” Yang Se Chan stood up in protest, but HaHa chimed in, “Don’t talk about flight attendants. Yoo Jae Suk is related to that too.” This was a hint at Yoo Jae Suk’s love life before he got married, and Yoo Jae Suk retorted, “Are you crazy? I can reveal things too. I have a lot of things to say,” which made HaHa back down immediately.
Back to the question at hand, Ji Suk Jin said, “You absolutely shouldn’t share your password. I’ve shared my password [with my wife], but my heart beats faster whenever I get a KakaoTalk notification. I didn’t do anything wrong, but I’m afraid my wife will misunderstand.”
Jun So Min commented, “Ji Suk Jin keeps leaving whatever group chats I’m in,” and Ji Suk Jin retorted, “You show too much aegyo [acting cutesy] on KakaoTalk. You use too many emoticons.”
Kangnam, who married retired Olympic speed skater Lee Sang Hwa last year, said, “We know each other’s passwords, but we don’t really look at each other’s phones.” Ji Suk Jin said, “You really think your wife hasn’t looked? I bet she has,” but Kangnam made everyone laugh by calmly replying, “Okay.”
