Watch: Seohyun And Go Kyung Pyo Fatefully Meet Through Their Tangled Web Of Lies In Upcoming JTBC Drama

JTBC released a highlight video for their upcoming drama “Private Lives.”

“Private Lives” takes place during the current age in which people share, steal, and fabricate their private lives. It’s about con artists mobilizing all their techniques to disclose the nation’s major “private life,” and it stars Girls’ Generation’s Seohyun, Go Kyung PyoKim Hyo JinKim Young Min, and more.

The highlight video shows a glimpse of Cha Ju Eun’s (played by Seohyun) life as a con-artist. Ever since she was little, she joined her father Cha Hyun Tae (played by Park Sung Geun) and mother Kim Mi Sook (played by Song Sun Mi) to scam others. Kim Mi Sook tells Cha Ju Eun, “I told you this isn’t fraud; it’s a documentary! And you’re not an extra. You’re the stuntman.”

With that, Kim Mi Sook shoves her daughter into a van, and Cha Ju Eun lands on the floor with a loud thud. Kim Mi Sook pretends to be shocked, and she runs around in a panic in order to trick the driver into paying them. On top of that, Cha Hyun Tae runs a church as a fake pastor, but he eventually gets caught by the police.

Despite those harsh lessons in life, Cha Ju Eun also grows up to be a con-artist herself. One day, she fatefully encounters Lee Jung Hwan (played by Go Kyung Pyo), who is described as “a man with an unknowable identity.” He foregoes the cheesy pick-up lines and straightforwardly asks her for five minutes of her time. Cha Ju Eun gives him a doubtful look as she asks him why, and he promises to make her laugh in five minutes.

After that fateful day, the two run into each other multiple times, and it almost seems as if Lee Jung Hwan is intentionally following her. Despite her game of “hard-to-get,” she eventually gives him a chance, and the two start dating. Their con-artist ways continue though, and viewers will find it interesting to see how their relationship will develop and progress when their lives are just a tangled web of lies.
