TREASURE made their first post-debut variety show appearance on “Weekly Idol”!

After debuting on August 7 with “BOY,” TREASURE made their first-ever variety show appearance on the September 30 broadcast of “Weekly Idol.” The group first participated in the “Find Your Treasure” segment where they explained their various nicknames and showed off hidden talents.

TREASURE most recently made a comeback with their second single album “THE FIRST STEP : CHAPTER TWO” on September 18. They’re currently promoting their title track “I LOVE YOU” which has gone to top iTunes charts all over the globe.

Regarding the track, Choi Hyun Suk shared, “It’s a song that’s an extension of our debut track ‘BOY.’ It captures the emotional rollercoaster that intense love takes you on.”

In the next segment, the group pinpointed which member best fits a given sentence. When asked who’s been of the most strength to them, Doyoung expressed his admiration for Choi Hyun Suk. He explained, “We lived in the same neighbourhood in elementary and middle school, so he’s been going around with me ever since then. If I fell asleep on the bus or the subway, he would wake me up. He is a hyung who was of a lot of strength to me when we were trainees.”

Choi Hyun Suk responded, “We became trainees together, lived in the same neighbourhood, went to the same school, and had a lot in common. That’s why I think I took care of him well.”

When asked which member helps their cuteness shine, Mashiho picked Jihoon. He shared, “He tells me I’m cute often.” Jihoon commented, “When we’re in our dorm, he’ll order food and just be living his life, but even the way he walks is cute.”

After, the group impressed the MCs with their double speed dance challenge!

To celebrate their first-ever variety show appearance, TREASURE put on a special cover performance of BLACKPINK‘s “How You Like That.”

At the end of the broadcast, the group gave a heartfelt farewell to viewers, saying, “Thank you to our TREASURE MAKER [Treasure’s fans] who are with us whenever and wherever we go. Please give lots of love to ‘I LOVE YOU.’ To the representatives of ‘Weekly Idol,’ thank you so much for inviting TREASURE. We will repay all your love with good music.”
