Watch: ASTRO's Cha Eun Woo Is Chosen To Walk The Runway At Seoul Fashion Week On "Master In The House"

ASTRO’s Cha Eun Woo made his debut as a runway model on the latest episode of “Master in the House”!

On the November 1 episode of the SBS variety show, the cast met their newest master: fashion designer Gee Choon Hee, who famously designed the wedding dresses of stars like Lee Bo Young and Cha Ye Ryun.

Actress Lee Na Young spoke with the cast members via phone call to personally introduce the designer, with whom she is close friends—and when Lee Seung Gi admiringly described her as a legend, Lee Na Young replied, “She’s too au courant and currently active to be buried as a legend.”

Gee Choon Hee then gave the cast a special mission: each of the members was tasked with dressing a female model in the designer’s own clothing, but with a specific theme in mind. Lee Seung Gi’s assignment, for example, was to dress his model for a wedding at which she would be running into her ex-boyfriend, while Kim Dong Hyun’s was to dress his model for a window-shopping excursion at a department store.

Cha Eun Woo’s mission was to dress his model for a couples gathering at which she would be the only single attendee, and he had a very specific vision in mind. His model partner revealed, “[Cha Eun Woo] picked everything I’m wearing—all of it, from head to toe. He even told me to tie my hair [back].”

Explaining his choice of styling, Cha Eun Woo explained that he wanted his outfit to say, “I may be single, but in terms of my career or my feelings, I’m not lonely at all. I came here because I’m friends with you all, but I’m not lacking in anything compared to any of you.”

Meanwhile, Lee Seung Gi hilariously acted out a skit with his model in which he showed up to the wedding as her new boyfriend so that she wouldn’t lose face in front of her ex.

Designer Gee Choon Hee ultimately chose Cha Eun Woo as the winner of the mission, and his prize was to walk the runway at her Seoul Fashion Week show that same night. As the opening show of this year’s Seoul Fashion Week, Gee Choon Hee’s was the only runway show to be held live—though it was streamed online with no physical audience due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Cha Eun Woo was visibly nervous as he prepared for the show alongside famous models such as Han Hye Jin, Tei, and Park Ji Hye. Following the dress rehearsal, he worried, “This isn’t easy. I’m afraid I might get in the way of [properly showcasing] designer Gee Choon Hee’s clothing.”

However, after receiving last-minute walking lessons from his fellow models and fighting his nerves, he successfully transformed into a model and stepped onto the runway for the first time, with his fellow cast members cheering him on from backstage.
