Super Junior Celebrates 15th Debut Anniversary With Messages Of Thanks And Love
Super Junior celebrated a big milestone with their fans E.L.F!
The group made their debut on November 6, 2005 and went on to become one of the pioneers of the Korean wave around the world. On November 6 of this year, they marked their anniversary by releasing their pre-release single “The Melody” ahead of their 10th full album, which comes out in December.
To celebrate the big day, the group’s official account shared a video looking back on their hits from over the years.
Many of the members have also taken to social media to express their gratitude and thoughts on their anniversary.
Leader Leeteuk wrote on Instagram, “Something really unbelievable has happened. We’ve lasted for 15 years. We’ve survived. This day came because we gritted our teeth, endured, and didn’t give up.”
He shared that Super Junior has gone through a lot and worked hard and will continue to do so, and he encouraged fans to keep going together with them. He continued, “It’s scary, right?? No one predicted that our team would be still be going strong like this on our 15th debut anniversary, right? So I’ll keep leading us. Even after we die, we’ll do a ‘Super Show’ tour in heaven.”
“We’ll keep going,” he said. “Just enjoy today. You’ve worked hard. Our members, fans, and staff, I respect you and I love you.”
Eunhyuk wrote, “It’s our 15th anniversary… We’ve made so many memories that it would be difficult to look back on them all. When I think about how the group of us, who had been aiming to achieve our goal of debuting, has ended up able to spend such a long time walking together, it brings back the image of our soft-hearted, pure, and unreserved selves and I get a lump in my throat and feel like I’m about to cry.”
He thanked their agency, staff, his beloved members, and fans E.L.F for making the time they’ve spent together possible. “I’ll keep going forward step by step, encouraged by your support,” he said. “We are Super Junior.”
Yesung shared the anniversary video and wrote, “15th anniversary. #ELF.” He also posted throwback photos from their promotions for “Twins” in 2005 and many more memories in his Instagram stories.
