BTS Reveals Exciting New Details About Upcoming Album “BE”
BTS has shared more information about their highly-anticipated new album!
The group will be making their return with the studio album “BE (Deluxe Edition)” on November 20 at 2 p.m. KST. In addition to their smash hit single “Dynamite,” which was released digitally in August, the upcoming album will feature seven brand-new tracks—including the title track “Life Goes On.”
According to Big Hit Entertainment, “BE” is a honest reflection of the complicated emotions caused by this year’s COVID-19 pandemic, which brought feelings of fear, helplessness, and unease into many people’s lives. However, the album bears the inspirational message that even in such times of difficulty, “we must overcome.” The members’ existential ruminations that inspired the album are also why it is fittingly titled “BE.”
The title track “Life Goes On,” which is described as an “alternative hip hop” song with a sentimental acoustic guitar sound, has a comforting message about life going on in the face of sudden disruption and unwanted circumstances. “Blue & Grey,” which also features an acoustic guitar sound, is described as a pop ballad. “Telepathy” is said to be a retro pop song with a funky rhythm, while “Dis-ease” takes BTS back to old-school hip hop.
“BE” will also include two unit songs: Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, and V teamed up for the song “Fly to My Room,” while RM, Jin, and Jungkook joined forces for the track “Stay.” Finally, the album will feature a “Skit” in which BTS reacts to the news of their topping Billboard’s Hot 100 for the very first time with “Dynamite.”
As previously announced, what will make “BE” particularly special is the way that BTS contributed to every single step of the album’s creation—playing their most significant role in the production process to date. Not only did the members participate in writing the music and lyrics for the album, but they also took part in conceiving the album’s overall direction, designing the art, and coming up with ideas for their concept photos, album jacket, and music video.
“BE” and the music video for its title track “Life Goes On” will drop on November 20 at 2 p.m. KST. In the meantime, check out their latest teasers here!
