Yang Hyun Suk Sentenced Fine For Illegal Gambling Case

On November 27, the sentencing hearing was held for Yang Hyun Suk’s illegal gambling case.

He was indicted in June on charges of flying to Las Vegas, United States seven times between July 2015 and January 2019 and gambling using a total of approximately $335,460 with four other individuals. Back in October, the prosecution requested a fine of 10 million won (approximately $9,055).

At the sentencing hearing on November 27, the Seoul Western District Court sentenced Yang Hyun Suk a fine of 15 million won (approximately $13,583).

The court considered the large amount of money gambled but also that he has admitted to his mistakes and is reflecting on his actions.

Yang Hyun Suk is currently also being investigated for alleged interference in a drug purchase investigation.
