Watch: Im Siwan And Shin Se Kyung Get Wrapped Up In Fate In Preview For Upcoming Drama “Run On”
JTBC’s upcoming drama “Run On” has shared another teaser to amp up the excitement for its premiere!
“Run On” is a romance about people trying to connect with each other through their own languages after having lived in their individual worlds. It follows the story of former track and field athlete Ki Sun Kyum (Im Siwan), who retires after a life-changing event and becomes a sports agent, and Oh Mi Joo (Shin Se Kyung), a film translator.
Girls’ Generation’s Sooyoung stars as Seo Dan Ah, an ambitious sports agency CEO who believes the only way to fail is to not try at all. Kang Tae Oh plays Lee Young Hwa, a popular art student who is handsome, kind, and charming.
The clip starts off with Ki Sun Kyum being introduced as the “only famous second place athlete in a country that only remembers the first place athletes.” In a defeated voice, Ki Sun Kyum quips, “I want to be first place, too.”
On the other hand, the teaser hints that Oh Mi Joo is someone who doesn’t hold back. When a drunken man throws water in her face, she pours an entire bottle of water over her head. With a look of anger and disbelief on her face, she yells, “What the heck did I do that makes you insult me like this?”
The two characters end up crossing paths multiple times, which causes Oh Mi Joo to question why he keeps saving her. Eventually, Ki Sun Kyum finds out about her job, and in a slightly perturbed voice, he says, “You said you were pretty much unemployed, but you were an interpreter.” Oh Mi Joo spots a huge advertisement sign of him and exclaims, “Oh my god. He was a model? Darn it. So he wasn’t for sale.”
It seems like Oh Mi Joo is going to become Ki Sun Kyum’s interpreter, which will trigger all sorts of fateful events for them. The clip ends with Oh Mi Joo asking someone, “Do you believe in fate? Because I believe in it if he’s handsome.”
