Cha Tae Hyun And Lovelyz's Mijoo Crack Up "Running Man" Cast With Stories Of How They Ended Up On The "BFF Special"

Cha Tae Hyun and Lovelyz’s Mijoo amused the cast of “Running Man” with their stories of how they wound up on the latest episode!

On the December 6 broadcast of the SBS variety show, Cha Tae Hyun, Mijoo, Yang Dong Geun, Jang Dong Min, and TXT‘s Yeonjun and Huening Kai all appeared as guests on the program’s “BFF Special.”

The “Running Man” staff surprised the cast members by announcing that Yoo Jae Suk and Lee Kwang Soo, HaHa and Ji Suk Jin, and Song Ji Hyo and Yang Se Chan had been paired up as “BFFs,” with Song Ji Hyo hilariously protesting that her relationship with Yang Se Chan was “strictly business.”

The staff then introduced Cha Tae Hyun as Kim Jong Kook’s BFF, as the two stars are famously close friends. Surprised to see his friend make an appearance, Kim Jong Kook complained, “We just talked on the phone a day or two ago. Why didn’t you tell me you were going to be on the show?” Cha Tae Hyun cracked everyone up by replying, “You didn’t ask!”

Kim Jong Kook went on to ask Cha Tae Hyun if he had a film coming out soon, to which the actor replied, “I’m on a variety show tour.” Referring to his numerous recent guest appearances on variety programs, Cha Tae Hyun added with a laugh, “One reporter described me in an article as a ‘variety hitchhiker.'”

As for how he wound up on the show, Cha Tae Hyun joked, “I suddenly got a call asking me to appear on ‘Running Man,’ and I couldn’t think of any excuse to say no.”

The next guest to arrive was Mijoo, whom the staff introduced as the BFF of Jun So Min, her co-star from the new tvN variety show “The Sixth Sense.”

When asked how she had ended up appearing as a guest, Mijoo shared, “I suddenly got a call from [Jun] So Min. She said, ‘Mijoo, I’m calling you to brag about something, so I can take credit. I got you on ‘Running Man’!”

As everyone burst out laughing, the other “Running Man” members teased Jun So Min by saying, “You’re the worst! You’ve picked up bad habits [from the older cast members].”
