Watch: Kim Ji Won, Ji Chang Wook, Kim Min Seok, So Ju Yeon, And More Test Their Chemistry With Fun Game Of

The cast of “Lovestruck in the City” recently tested their chemistry with a fun game!

KakaoTV’s “Lovestruck in the City” is a new short-form romance drama that will follow the realistic love lives of young people fighting to survive in the hectic city. It is currently being produced with multiple seasons in mind, and the upcoming first season is entitled “My Lovable Camera Thief” (literal translation).

The first couple to star in a series of videos is Kim Ji Won and Ji Chang Wook. Kim Ji Won stars as freelance market Lee Eun Oh, the titular “camera thief,” while Ji Chang Wook plays the honest and passionate architect Park Jae Won.

The two agree on the first question, both saying that they would rather be scolded by chef Baek Jong Won than pet trainer Kang Hyung Wook. Ji Chang Wook explaines, “If I were scolded by Kang Hyung Wook, I think I’d feel like a dog.” Kim Ji Won immediately agrees and Ji Chang Wook responds, “You match so well with me.”

After disagreeing on the next few rounds, Ji Chang Wook jokes, “We don’t match. A bit. A lot.” When asked whether they’d prefer their significant other to have a close friend of the opposite gender or 100 acquaintances of the opposite gender, Kim Ji Won picks the former while Ji Chang Wook picks the latter. Kim Ji Won quickly explains, “In one year, that could be a new person everyday,” instantly convincing Ji Chang Wook to change his answer.

Between getting ghosted or getting dumped for someone else, Kim Ji Won picks the latter and Ji Chang Wook hesitates to pick an answer. He explains, “If they leave because they like someone else more, at least there’s a reason.” Then he jokes, “At least you can curse them then.”

The next couple is Kim Min Seok and So Ju Yeon who play couple Choi Kyung Joon and Seo Rin Yi in the drama. They immediately disagree on the first three questions and So Ju Yeon exclaims, “We really don’t match.” Kim Min Seok explains, “I even tried to pick what I thought you would say.”

Between their significant other having a close friend of the opposite gender or 100 acquaintances of the opposite gender, the two both pick one close friend. So Ju Yeon complains, “Why would they keep asking how you are?!” Kim Min Seok responds, “I don’t like either.”

Kim Min Seok also explains that he prefers to like someone more than they like him, sharing that that’s how he thinks a relationship lasts.

The last clip features Ryu Kyung Soo and Han Ji Eun who play ex-girlfriend and boyfriend Kang Geon and Oh Sun Young. Unlike the other two couples, the two say they prefer texting over phone calls. Han Ji Eun explains, “I think it’s better to text often and call sometimes. If we’re going to keep calling, we might as well just talk in person.” Ryu Kyung Soo chimes in, “I think I have a phobia of phone calls.”

Han Ji Eun explains that ghosting is better because the other option feels like getting cheated on and Ryu Kyung Soo replies, “You don’t know the reason if you’re ghosted. I’d feel so frustrated.” At the end, the two both say they prefer when their significant other likes them more with Ryu Kyung Soo explaining, “It feels like you’re receiving love, which is better.” Han Ji Eun adds, “My instinct is someone I like more, but rationally, I think I feel like I’m receiving love if they like me more.”

“Lovestruck in the City” will premiere on December 22 at 5 p.m. KST. Watch a teaser here!
