OCN Responds To Reports About Second Season Of “The Uncanny Counter”
Will “The Uncanny Counter” return for another season?
On December 23, various sources reported that OCN’s “The Uncanny Counter” is checking the schedule of the main cast in order to film the second season.
One insider said, “Since there was initially no talk about the drama becoming a seasonal series, the production team had to consider a number of things. The biggest factor was the schedule of the lead cast, so they had to check into that early. The crew is currently inquiring about the possibility of starting filming for the second season in September 2021 and airing it in the first half of 2022.”
In response to the reports, OCN told News1, “We are in the process of turning the drama into a seasonal series. However, the production details and filming schedule have not been decided yet.”
Based on a webtoon, “The Uncanny Counter” is about demon hunters called “counters” who disguise themselves as employees of a noodle restaurant and hunt down demons who have come to Earth in pursuit of eternal life. The drama stars Jo Byeong Gyu, Yoo Joon Sang, gugudan‘s Kim Sejeong, and Yeom Hye Ran and recently made history after recording the highest ratings in OCN history.
“The Uncanny Counters” airs every Saturday and Sunday at 10:30 p.m. KST.
