NCT’s Jaehyun, Park Hye Soo, Noh Jung Ui, And Bae Hyun Sung’s Drama “Dear.M” Sets Premiere Date
Upcoming drama “Dear.M” has confirmed its broadcast plans!
A spin-off from the hit web drama series “Love Playlist,” “Dear.M” is about the campus-wide search for “M,” a mystery individual who is mentioned in an anonymous post on a Seoyeon University online forum. It stars NCT’s Jaehyun, Park Hye Soo, Noh Jung Ui, and Bae Hyun Sung.
“Dear.M” will premiere on KBS 2TV as a special Friday drama on February 26 at 11:10 p.m. KST.
Jo Hyun Ah, a chief producer (CP) at the KBS Variety Center, stated, “KBS currently has a golden lineup on the weekends with solid long-lasting programs and continuous development of new programs. In particular, high-quality entertainment programs and weekend dramas are an effective strategy in increasing the number of terrestrial [terrestrial is a form of broadcast as opposed to cable or streaming] viewers.”
The CP continued, “We are also planning for a new golden lineup on Friday nights that will capture the attention of viewers in their 20s and 30s. This includes dramas like ‘Dear.M,’ but also shows like ‘Entertainment Weekly Live,’ ‘Fun-staurant,’ and ‘Yoo Hee Yeol’s Sketchbook.’ ‘Dear.M’ will play an important role in this lineup. Since it is only one episode a week, it will ensure a safe production on the part of the drama’s staff, as well as extend the chance of staying on top of the trends over a longer broadcast period of three months.”
She continued, “Freshness and excitement are the strong points for ‘Dear.M.’ Not just Park Hye Soo, Jaehyun, Noh Jung Ui, and Bae Hyun Sung, but Lee Jin Hyuk, Woo Da Bi, Lee Jung Shik, Hwang Bo Reum Byul, and the rest of the cast brought a fresh breath of air to the script so that viewers could experience its portrayal of heart-fluttering youth for themselves. They worked hard to film in these difficult circumstances, so we look forward to your love and support.”
“Dear.M” will also be available on Viki. Check out a teaser here!
