Watch: Lee Joo Young And Lee Seo Jin Share Their Excitement In First Filming For Upcoming Drama
OCN has shared a behind-the-scenes look at the first filming for “Times”!
“Times” is an upcoming “time-warp” political mystery drama starring Lee Joo Young as Seo Jung In, the daughter of South Korean president Seo Gi Tae (Kim Young Chul). After miraculously connecting via phone call with journalist Lee Jin Woo (Lee Seo Jin) from five years in the past, Seo Jung In attempts to prevent the death of her father—but stumbles upon a dangerous truth in the process.
In the behind-the-scenes clip, Lee Seo Jin, Lee Joo Young, and Kim Young Chul introduce their characters as they embark on filming for the first time. Lee Seo Jin shows some impressive acting as he plays a reporter on the hunt for clues, but ends up needing help from the production staff in order to operate a professional camera. Later, he jokes around with supporting actors by ad-libbing lines in the middle of other lines and throwing them off during rehearsal.
Lee Joo Young talks about working with Moon Jung Hee and Yoo Sung Joo for the first time and shares how they took care of her on set, making sure she sat down between takes. She adds, “Seo Jung In doesn’t believe that her father is dead and breaks down crying at his funeral. It wasn’t easy to start off with such an emotional scene on the first filming, but I did my best.”
Kim Young Chul starts to explain what he is filming, but gets censored by the production staff due to potential spoilers. He concludes, “There is a secret hidden there. If you’re curious, please watch the drama.” Later, he says, “Just like with every project, the first filming is always the hardest. After about four or five episodes, you assimilate yourself into your character and things flow more naturally. However, our first filming is going well.”
