CJ ENM Issues Statement On Their Conflict With n.CH Entertainment Over TOO's Management

CJ ENM has issued their own statement on their conflict with n.CH Entertainment over TOO’s management.

On January 13, Newsen broke the news that CJ ENM had suddenly terminated their contract with n.CH Entertainment. TOO debuted through Mnet’s survival program “World Klass,” and CJ ENM’s subsidiary label Stone Music Entertainment partnered with n.CH Entertainment to manage the group. It has been reported that n.CH Entertainment was in charge of management and promotions, while CJ ENM was in charge of album production and marketing aspects.

On January 14, n.CH Entertainment released a full statement about the various issues concerning their contract with CJ ENM and their desire for TOO’s third album to be released as planned to ensure a stable period for the group.

On January 19, CJ ENM released their own statement about the management issue.

Hello, this is CJ ENM.

We apologize for causing concern over this unpleasant issue with n.CH Entertainment, who had been in charge of the group TOO’s management.

We hereby state that all of n.CH Entertainment’s claims are issues that stem from our two companies being unable to reach an agreement. There is nothing more or less than that.

First, CJ ENM is the agency that has exclusive contracts with all the members of TOO and the group’s management rights. n.CH Entertainment is a company that was in charge of PR [public relations] and proxy management services until August 2020.

The essence of this case is that someone who was an executive and major shareholder at n.CH Entertainment continued to push for a contract with conditions that would unilaterally favor the interests of n.CH Entertainment, even after they had stopped working there. This is why we were unable to come to an agreement.

As our contract for proxy management services with n.CH Entertainment has come to an end, CJ ENM intends to take charge of the management of TOO. CJ ENM will take responsibility and devote support to the members of TOO so that they can mature into great artists. Therefore, we ask that n.CH Entertainment assist in the smooth transition between companies.

We offer apologies and comfort once again to the members of TOO and their fans who have been suffering emotionally from this case.

TOO will soon be able to greet you with an even better and improved image.

Thank you.
