Lee Ji Hoon And Choi Yoo Hwa Engage In A Tense War Of Nerves In

KBS 2TV’s “River Where the Moon Rises” shared new stills of Lee Ji Hoon and Choi Yoo Hwa!

A reinterpretation of a classic Goguryeo folk tale, “River Where the Moon Rises” will tell the famous love story of Princess Pyeonggang (played by Kim So Hyun) and On Dal (played by Ji Soo).

Choi Yoo Hwa will play Hae Mo Yong, a beautiful and powerful woman who is determined to control Goguryeo and play with it as she wants. Lee Ji Hoon will star as Go Geon, the top elite general of Goguryeo.

On January 29, the drama unveiled new stills that show a glimpse of Hae Mo Yong and Go Geon’s intriguing relationship.

In the photos, the two are at odds at each other. They stare at each other with cold, unyielding eyes that hint neither of them are willing to back down. Go Geun grabs Hae Mo Young’s wrist and leans towards her. Hae Mo Young’s gaze sharpens, and they share a tense conversation.

Both Go Geun and Hae Mo Young have the ability to shake up Goguryeo. As the eldest son of Go Won Pyo (Lee Hae Young), the most influential person in the royal family, and the adoptive daughter of  Hae Ji Wol (Jung In Kyum), one of the most powerful men of Goguryeo, they will be at the center of an intense power struggle. As a result, curiosity is mounting over what is causing the two to confront each other and how this meeting will affect Goguryeo.

The production team shared, “The meeting between Go Geun and Hae Mo Young will strongly affect Goguryeo. Choi Yoo Hwa and Lee Ji Hoon were able to complete the scene with utmost concentration and acting skills. Please look forward to how Go Geun and Hae Mo Yong will become intertwined through this encounter and how they will influence the future of Pyeonggang and On Dal.”

“River Where the Moon Rises” premieres on February 15 at 9:30 p.m. and will be available with subtitles on Viki.
