Watch: NCT's Jaehyun Sadly Watches His Best Friend Fall In Love With Someone Else In Teaser For "Dear.M"

KBS 2TV’s upcoming drama “Dear.M” has shared a heartbreaking new teaser!

A spin-off of the hit web drama series “Love Playlist,” “Dear.M” is a romance drama that tells the story of the campus-wide search for “M,” a mystery individual who is mentioned in an anonymous post that causes a stir on a Seoyeon University online forum.

NCT’s Jaehyun will be making his acting debut in the drama as male lead Cha Min Ho, a clever and imaginative computer-engineering student who has been best friends with Ma Joo Ah since childhood. Park Hye Soo will star as the cheerful business administration major Ma Joo Ah, who has never had a boyfriend and is constantly meddling in others’ affairs due to her generous and inquisitive nature.

In the newly released teaser for the upcoming drama, Ma Joo Ah nervously shares her excitement as she develops a crush on fellow student Moon Joon (played by Lee Jung Sic). Inexperienced in love, she explains, “I’m saying this because I don’t know what to do. It’s my first time liking someone, after all.” She then points out her new love interest to her BFF Cha Min Ho in class.

Cha Min Ho says in voice-over, “The moment that I saw the look on Joo Ah’s face, I knew right away that first love had arrived.” In the next scene, Moon Joon asks him what kind of person Joo Ah is, commenting, “I don’t think I’ve ever seen someone like Joo Ah before.” As Ma Joo Ah and Moon Joon get to know each other better, Cha Min Ho struggles to hide his jealousy as he looks on from the sidelines.

Someone then asks Ma Joo Ah if there’s anything going on between her and Cha Min Ho, to which she dismissively replies, “Of course not. That would be so off-trend, getting romantically involved with a friend.”

However, the tension between the two longtime friends seems to reach a breaking point in the next scene, when Ma Joo Ah affectionately pats Cha Min Ho on the head and says, “You’re really kind, Cha Min Ho.” She then gets flustered when he takes her hand, snatching it back and adding hurriedly, “Hey, you’re drunk.”

“Dear.M” premieres on February 26 at 11:10 p.m KST and will be available with English subtitles on Viki. In the meantime, check out the new teaser below!
