Kang Daniel In Talks To Make Acting Debut In Role Of Aspiring Police Officer
Kang Daniel may be making his screen debut this year!
On February 1, Ilgan Sports reported that the artist would be starring in Disney+’s “Our Police Course” (literal title).
A source from his agency KONNECT Entertainment shared with Star News, “Kang Daniel has been offered the role of the protagonist in ‘Our Police Course’ and is reviewing it.”
The role Kang Daniel is considering is Wi Seung Hyun, an honors freshman starting out at the Korean National Police University. He admires his father, who is the Commissioner of the Gyeonggi Dongbu Police Agency. He sets out on following in his father’s footsteps but runs into hurdles as he gets involved with a woman named Go Eun Gang. The story will revolve around young adults born in the year 2000 making their way through college life in their own unapologetic ways at one of the most conservative universities in Korea.
After debuting with Wanna One in 2017, Kang Daniel has focused on his musical career despite receiving several offers to act in dramas. With an album on the way (to be released in February), there is much interest in whether this will be his first step as an actor.
